Jesus. What have i missed. Well, about 3 months i think. New houses, you got to love em . . or paint, strip, re-paint, re-plumb blah blah blah.

All this comes back to one thing. The ACO are sh*t. What on earth happened to asking for a sensible amount of tickets from them, and then using them.

Thanks should go to Andy at Team L for even offering these tickets.

But stop the moaning. Anyone can put on 100 posts quickly, and just write complete rubbish, or talk long and old tales of bull pooh.

Those who are organised enough to ask ealy, should get tickets. Those who aren't  . . . . .

I best go back to lurking or having a few months off from posting now.

Still got to sort the garden . . . .

Robbo out.

36  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: 2010 DATES on: August 16, 2009, 11:09:05 am
There are a few hospitality firms selling places for the 12/13th Weekend.

None of the dover calais companies of Portsmouth routes are selling their spaces yet.

39  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Parking??? on: July 01, 2009, 02:28:32 am
In the interests of accuracy Robbo - they are not and to my knowledge have never been 'free' if you go there first. I have, for about the last ten years watched the start from Mulsanne and on arrival have parted with a few Euro's (8 this year) for a ticket which this year I think (age memory thing) was yellow? however In the old days when I had a Vert pass then there was no more to pay - as that included access to Mulsanne and Arnage as I think, it would seem would a Rouge.
I have to confess that part of the reason I raised this subject was very much in the interests of accuracy. There were a number of enthusiast sites - this one included suggesting that all parking should be paid for in advance and rather alarmingly saying that in fact the parking tickets had 'sold out.' This would have been a new (and cr+p) idea had it been the case but it was not - just a bit of 'website noise' as it would seem that there were no changes this year. Although there did seem to be a concerted effort by the organisers to encourage people take the bus instead of driving round to the various vantage points.

In the light or accuracy.

I HAVE NEVER PAID TO PARK AT ARNAGE OR MULSANNE and i thought its because i was displaying my camping pass.

Radio Le Mans said they were ripping bits from a road car hours before the race, which doesnt boad too well.

Has the JLOC entry ever got anywhere at le amsn ?

With teh Jap LMS series, they would have to keep some form of Japenesse entry.
41  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Le Mans Track Coming to Forza Motosport 3 on: June 23, 2009, 06:02:37 am
Yes - Race Driver GRID - which is what I wanted to say, but my boss was sat behind me when I typed it .... had to close and come back sharpish - always leads to mistakes Smiley

I hope its good. I've just bought a copy from e-bay.
42  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Parking??? on: June 22, 2009, 03:05:36 pm
the arnage and mulsanne corners were free parking, always have been.
43  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Was Le Mans empty this year? on: June 22, 2009, 06:02:29 am
BN had massive areas un-sold. 2 years ago they kept moving the boundary fence to allow more in, this year, there was half a field un-used.

Good racing though.

Mad friday wasnt very mad?
44  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Facebook pics on: June 22, 2009, 05:58:18 am
If anyonw wants to post some pictures, you can do it on my website, i think . . . www.thesps.net.

I'm not the web master, but i think most things are alright.
45  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: long service!! on: June 22, 2009, 05:51:46 am
Listening to diesels whispering around the track is truly crap and that's where the development's going to keep going.

I just don't think the atmosphere's at the Sarthe anymore.

I really hoped the French winning would have been the start of a mass party . . . but no.

The Bentley Years 01 02 and 03 were great. too much security and Police presence has slowed things down. Plus a little yob element.
