You know you can track MOTs and insurance online, and see if she's still alive.

MOTs - https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ (easily waste an hour going back through your old motors, also useful if you are looking to buy a car - to see the mileage and advisory history)

Hi Phil
I started by ripping the engine out of a Ford Granada and completely stripping it down into it's component parts before meticulously cleaning, replacing and re-assembling over a four month period before I committed to buying the kit. I figured that if I could re-build an engine I could nail together a kit of parts. Hmmm. The chassis, body work and a host of components from breakers yards were gradually put together over four further years to get to this point.
I christened her Stella as a recognition of the quantity of said lager that was consumed in my garage during the build process!

I know the trials of building a kit....photo's of mine will be posted soon. I just had a lack of time over last weekend but will give it another go this weekend, need to dig out the old photo's as you don't really want to see it in its current semi-dismantled condition in my garage!

Show and tell time -

Some have seen my Dax cobra replica either at Le Mans or in Blighty.
She's over 20 years old now.  I started the build by stripping the 6.6 litre V8 in 1995 and the car was completed and registered in 1997.
Over the years, I've done a few mods (was originally built by me with an auto box) to a 4 speed manual and now with EPAS steering.
The old girl is still going strong and, just about, carries all my Le Mans camping stuff.

I remember about 15 years ago talking to a guy on Maison Blanche with a Cobra rep very similar to yours. He told me that he'd spent days with a file making AC badges out of brass before having them chromed. I don't suppose that was you.......

Hi!

Joy is not plentiful in terms of flags.

Our Chinese friends have not responded to my emails for a while now. (Distracted by job interviews and house building).

No money paid, but it took a lot of time to get to the point of transaction.

I will give this some focus next week 'cos I cannot go flagless.
