Took the opportunity to ring DFDS this afternoon, the guy was very helpful and said the timetable for June 2016 would be out mid October.
The timetable is up to March 2016 and it appears that the prices are the same as this year £78 return. For those that are over 60, quess that's me, they will also offer a discount of 20% on this price
I was able to get this discount without any problems this year

Used that crossing once but the issue for me is that it's two hours to Newhaven or two hours to Folkestone for me from sunny Southampton.

Given the 4 hour crossing time plus queuing time to get on/off I'm usually in Rouen way ahead of anyone on the crossing.

And if you want a really good deal with DFDS....try booking through Travelsupermarket.com, as I have just booked a round trip next weekend Dover Duinkirk for £65.00......whereas DFDS wanted £95.00 for the same crossing Smiley

Don't suppose anyone's spoken to DFDS about the timetable for June?

Their website is guff and just throws a "nothing available" type message when trying to book, but on Aferry, it's only showing the timetable until end of March.
The Portsmouth-Caen route is now looking at nearly £400 before even thinking about reserving seats/cabins etc.

Looking at this year, they don't bother with updating their website till January. It always was the Cinderella of ferries.

Before DFDS closed Portsmouth/Le Havre, they swapped boats, with the bigger one going to Dieppe.  Perhaps a lease had run out, but I'd have thought P/LH would make more money.  I'm just surprised that its lasted so long.  I'm also surprised that P/LH didn't make money, when Britney do, but people will pay their prices for a slightly better boat.

With the caravan, Britney is an arm and a leg, so I'll wait till January, and if Dieppe is expensive, go Dover/Calais

And thanks for pointing out the discount

I booked last years on the 28th December when the fares came out. It was mentioned on here. £78 return. I have my prayer mat out every day praying for the same deal this year. That was for a car and 2 passengers.

I spoke to DFDS last week asking when the timetable for June 2016 will be available. I was told prices etc would be available the first week of December.

This year they offered anyone over 60 a 20% discount on this route if you rang and booked over the phone. So get your grandad to give them a call.

Roll Eyes  So I suppose you'll get the 20% discount  for "Young people under the age of 25 years"  Wink

Thanks for the date correction.  I booked on 12th January this year, so thought it must have been January.  I must be slowing down - its old age you know  Embarrassed

Was about to book with these but I then remembered my car is to low and they won't let me use the freight deck as the angle going up on the ramps is to steep (ramp to upper level not the ramp it's self)

So I'll book p&o as its a gradual ramp I have no issues on

Kev,
I managed to get my cobra on the Newhaven Dieppe ferry this year and clearance under that is pretty non existent.  We were on the upper deck as well.
