No surprise and, I suspect, nothing to do with running out of British marques.

Renault Alpine are launching their new car this year, and its 40 years since the A442 appeared at Le Mans, so might have something to do with it.

The Alpine factory was in Dieppe, so keep an eye out for the commemorative display on a roundabout if going Newhaven - Dieppe.

A French car? What next Humvees?  It is the Britsh Welcome, and there are plenty of makes that I haven't seen linke Avis and Lagonda (but maybe before my time). 

The organisers should hide their face in shame.

I might drop by for a bite and a glass of the champers just to check it out.

I didn't make it to Mulsanne last year sadly, mostly due to being stuck in lousy traffic in St Sat.
Queueing to leave and tussling with a French chap in the uphill exit left me totally UNKEEN

I'll think twice about it this year too - it's a great classic car park event, but has in many ways become a victim its own success as it has grown over the years. Traffic on the way in and out is painful; if you're not in a car that will get entrance, forget it. Did Mulsanne a few years ago and it was v.pleasant.

Yes. St Sat has now become so popular it has really outgrown the available space.  If you don't arrive in you classic at sparrow fart, you end up at the top of the site - that's assuming you can take the dreadful traffic control.

As it was raining last year, our alternative Friday plan was to stay at the track and drink beer!

I was a happy passenger with Garyfrogeye a couple of years ago and we popped in to Mulsanne after escaping the St Sat traffic jam

It looked equally welcoming (as St Sat) and just a bit less over whelming

I think I'd be happy to pass my afternoon there

Even if it rains, my Midget has a soft top that erects (har har) in very few seconds

We did Mulsanne last year and, whilst much lower key with much less to see etc, it was a doddle to get in and out of and there was a good atmosphere.
I think this years Friday will be very much led by the weather and whether or not we get our rears out of the tent in good time to get to St Sat before the vast unwashed descend.
I might just go into town and mosey around, hmmm.....
