When I get back on, will check the tickets on my account.

Seems that Chapelle is less expensive than CAT2 tickets as well (maybe because it is unallocated!?)

€149 ACO Member week ticket and Chapelle
€131 Student weekend ticket and Chapelle

Just logged on to the ACO website out of interest, all camping and grandstands sold out, a few day parking tickets for just Wednesday and Thursday left, so effectively just GA tickets left. Ticket agencies are warning even those registered with them that they have reduced allocations so won't be able to meet demand already evrn for those registered with them. Hope that any of us who didn't get what they needed in last week's release got something today.

Yeah.  I assume the ACO will set up their resale site again.  As and when people are advised what their agencies can supply them there will be a load of 'I'll buy these just in case' tickets that come up for sale.

* UPDATE *

Ayse is right - only Chapelle left today.
Managed to bag another 4 tickets.
Looks like is is unallocated seating - and tickets say it is not covered.
It was for sure this year.......

Going to have 2 Spare GE / GS at some point now..........

Unallocated, that's strange.  I know I've sat in that stand with a cover.....

Mystery solved.  There are two Chapelle grandstands.  The existing one (T03) and the new temporary uncovered stand Chapelle 3Bis......

Yeah.  I assume the ACO will set up their resale site again.

Resale options already listed now against some of the sold out tickets. Unlikely that there is any availability on them, but the links have been added now.

Hi guys,
for me it’s the first time that I’m going to visit the 24h LeMans. I become a member of the ACO and bought two tickets for 180 euros per ticket. But on my ticket is displayed “T03 Bis - Chapelle”. I’m really disappointed of the sales system.
Anyone else got the same problem? I wrote them a mail and I’m looking forward for their answer. I will report…

When did you become a member?  Most members bought their tickets last week.  If you've only just joined, the only grandstand left today was Chapelle which the ACO added, intended mainly for non-members.

That makes more sense then! Thanks Ayse.

Yesterday I booked the tickets. The ACO told me that the were facing technical issues and give me the 62 euros back which I payed to much. So I got the right tickets but they charged the price for Cat.2.

We get our tickets through Just tickets. We have our tickets but they are having to move others from Terte Rouge (our campsite) due to a far smaller allocation this year.

The agents allocations have been changed yet again, god alone knows why.  So the agents have the problem of telling some customers the bad news.

I get the feeling that (for this and other reasons) the French are starting to hate foreigners.  I look forward to Frexit

From the levels of angst I've seen on the likes of Facebook, there is plenty of animosity from the French towards the ACO and their ticketing processes right now.....  I don't think it's confined at all to foreigners.  In fact, most of the annoyance seems to have been caused by the apparent huge increase in membership, with members 'creaming off' every decent ticket....  I must admit it has surprised me - after last year's ticketing for this years race - that so many people have been so completely unprepared for what has happened, ticketing-wise.  It's a concern though.  It once was the case that if you wanted to be safe and secure your tickets, you paid the premium and went to a good agency, now it seems that the agencies are struggling to get enough tickets to meet even their existing customers - so why is this happening?

That's why we use Just Tickets. You pay a bit more but get the tickets. They pay a fee to be ticket agents and still get shafted by the ACO.

And that fee is at least €15k (maybe more for the bigger agencies) - that's a lot to make back from a markup on ticket prices and enforced GE purchase all the time you are fielding the complaints (that should be directed at the ACO) from people who don't stand a chance of getting what they wanted/previously enjoyed.

To the other point on people's angst over members creaming off the best tickets - it's not a closed club, anyone can join and whilst I dislike the way the tickets have been sold/allocated in the past few years (and the big percentage price hikes), people complaining that they didn't get the chance to purchase because they were not members seems somewhat bizarre to me as the opportunity is open to all.

What does seem unfair to me, and was highlighted by a friend, is that the member allocation does not reward loyalty where people who joined the day before the tickets went on sale have been allowed the same access as those that have been members for 20+ years, supporting the club through the good and the lean times. One would have thought that some form of reward for loyalty could have been implemented (perhaps allowing 'seasoned' members the option to purchase a few more tickets, or opening the sale a day earlier as a recognition of loyalty?)

I very much agree.  In fact, long standing members lost out as their 'standing orders' were not honoured this time, they were put back in the pot with all the other members.  As you say, I've been a member for 27 years and get nothing more than someone who joined on 6th November....
