As is traditional in Sebring week, a limited amount of Team Zarse Gatwick Parking is available. I'm not going myself due to prior Cricket World Cup committments but I hope to be able to assist with free valet parking and lifts to/from LGW if it helps. Let me know.

Flights booked - Arrive Orlando 15/03 18:10 flight V5015
                          Depart             18/03 19;05 flight V5028

Anyone else on these?

I am sorted for transport to Sebring and back with Doris.

At this late stage nothing else is organised, any advise is welcome.

What do I need to take?  What don't I need?

Me and Mark are on the same flight back! Assuming it is VS028 not V5028.

Bob,
Pidge will have some tents and chairs for us (we've bought them in previous years and left them with him).
He also brings a large marquee and cooking equipment.

Bring along a sleeping mat and bag (unless you want to buy cheap ones there), couple of changes of clothes, falling over trousers, the usual.

It has been known to rain (last time was Weds / Thurs of 2005 race week).  It's hot and sunny during the day, but cools off at night (it is March, afterall).

You need to buy a 4 day superticket at the gate and a parking pass for the car.

Might see you outbound at Gatwick Bob, I'm on Virgin on 15th but a bit earlier.

Might also take you up Mr Zarse on the free parking - but I have the offer of a lift back so am thimking of trying out the train from Wokingham, which is a pretty direct and fast service.

Hi Steve,
I am wondering about Gainesville on Sunday 18th. What research have you done? Do you have advance ticket. I am guessing about 5 hour drive?
Never been to a proper drag race so I may as well start at the top.

According to Florida DOT Sebring to Gainesville is 170 miles, so figure it from there.

Morning Phil,
My travel route software tells me it's a 185 mile drive door to door at 3.5 hours.  I'm going to have some sleep after the race, then get up early Sunday morning and head north.

I've pre-booked a grandstand ticket, although I'm sure there would be tickets on the gate.

Smokie - If you have a lift back from Gatwick I can give you a lift there on Thursday.  Let me know.

Bob - Is there any way you can get to Bracknell / Wokingham on the Thursday morning?  If so you're welcome to jump in the car to LGW with me as well.  I can also give you a lift home on the Monday but it would mean you waiting for me on the return leg (I think).

Assuming Bob is on the same flight as Rick and I on the way back I will be driving straight to work on the Monday morning so could easily go past Wycombe and drop you home Bob if you can get to Gatwick or to Doris on the way out?

Thanks for the offers guys but I gotta be at work on Monday morning at 08:00. Yeh right. I think it best if I parked on airport at Gatwick. That way I can get away pretty sharpish and not piss the boss off too much.

Okey dokey.

Another limey is on the plane!

Thursday 11.40 on BA from Gatwick, returning Sunday 19.35.

So, all I need to do now is sort out camping gear, transport to the circuit and dust off the falling over trousers.

See you all soon  Grin Grin Grin
