CA Christmas Piss Up Date

Oops sorry about the date. We are going down on the Saturday morning and staying over night so we could meet up whenever it suits you Peter. We will most proberbly do the festival on the Saturday and use the Sunday for Crimbo shopping.
Thinking about it, it would be best to meet on saturday, you wouldn't want to get near Mrs BOB U when she is in full shopping mode. I will PM you nearer the date

Robbo, Will you be out and about in Pompey on the 2nd and 3rd of December?  We are coming down for The Festival of Christmas in the Historic Dockyard. Bloody good value for a tenner, includes admission to the festival plus HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, The Mary Rose and all the museums. If you are about maybe we could meet up for a beer?

I love people who condemn things outright before they've even tried them. 

Those who know me well would, I hope, take me on trust that this music is as far from karaoke as it's possible to get.  And if Rusty says the Dover Street Wine Bar is a good venue, then I'm inclined to believe him, unless anyone here knows anything to the contrary?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understood the situation, we kinda all agreed the 8th would be the offical CA Xmas piss up in the pub. The 15th was put forward as an alternative for those who couldn't make the 8th and as I happened to be going to Dover St that evening anyway, I offered this as an open invitation if anyone fancied joining in with me and my pals. It was not an invitation to carp or bitch at a genuine offer. So to those who are interested, then I look forward to seeing you on the 15th. For those who aren't interested,  then fine, I hope you all have a good time doing whatever it is you decide to do.
