Good looking kids, JDS!

Are we also swinning by Spyker F1 that weekend? I have much more faith in them now, since they kicked that little twat Albers out of the car ;D So it could be a nice visit for us!!
I have given up on being on facebook and myspace, I kept mixing them up and invited people to come on Myface!

I know that they are close! I think I know someone that maybe able to hook us up with a visit but:-

Does it clash with a F1 race? Yes it does, they will be no one there as there is a parade on in Belgium
Are they open at weekends?

Edited after checking.

Bad news. Bad news.Bad news. Bad news. Bad news. Bad news.

Monday 17th September is our 30th wedding anniversary and Mrs U decided months ago that she wanted us to be on holiday (in Turkey of all bloody places) to celebrate. After weeks of trying to get a flight on the Monday morning we have drawn a big fat blank,so, I'm afraid we have had to book from Saturday 15th. This means I will miss Silverstone :'( bolox bolox bolox.

I mean, 30 years for Christ sake, it's not even a special number like 25 or 50 is it. The things you have to do to earn brownie points. ::)

One good thing though. I have earned more than enough for Sebring. Oops sorry :-[ Am I the first to mention "The S word"

Even that still dosn't help with the thought of flying to Turkey.

Paddy & Rick will also be be with me, so I guess we'll work something out if that's where we end up.
I thought Paddy was selling his Camper?

I was and still am, but the potential 'customer' cancelled last night.
Have to start all over again, and the time to sell a campervan is pretty bad now! >:(

So I might come by campervan after all :-\

I have the same problem, just spent £50 on an advert then the heavens open and flood most peoples houses. Round here most people are either paying for repairs or spending the money on flood defences.

I am in the same "boat" (No pun intended) as Paddy as I will bring the camper if I still have it.

Just to bump this up a bit.....I have now booked at Whittlebury.  As I need electricity, I'll probably be on my lonesome  :'( :'(  but shouldn't be that far away from the plebs.

My van has 1500w 240v inverter if you want to run a draught machine off it. Not sure if I'm coming down in that or the Alfa at the moment though- its 50/50. I could be persuaded of course!

Finally got the answer (we didn't want, but guessed) :-\

Quote
Dear Sir,

We checked with the Silverstone race track, but unfortunately the public camping within the Silverstone circuit is not allowed and nothing can be done. For this year (and probably the next ones) the nearest campsite being offered to public is the Whittlebury Park as they told you.

It seems that this campsite is a short 5 minute walk to circuit and provides all of the facilities required to operate a campsite.

Kind regards

Cedric Vilatte

Oh well, we tried ::)
