Somewhat earlier than usual, I am starting this thread, having been to LM and now returned (Fri night) in order to go on holiday to the Canary Islands on Sunday.
Hope those still out there continue to have the fine old time that was underway when I was there...and safe and uneventful journeys back to all!!

Home again. Another year, another hangover....
Great to see all of you again. Pity the race ended in the way it did with a poor decision rather than a battle to the end but all in all it was a really good fight with lots of finishers. Three cheers to Kruse for all they did - sad that the car didn't last given the work they put in.

I just got home, screaming hangover and firework and/or BBQ induced burnt fingers. Great race and the weather was ace over in UK. Shame the French surrendered to the Germans in the race- but thats history for you. Have a safe trip home you guys and heres to next year. S

Well I'm back after a short delay due to retrieving Nopanic's Genny from some Pikies the Police arrested on Blue Nord. (more to Follow once I'm unloaded.)
Had a great time.
Thanks to Paddy and all of DfH for great party.
Oh and the Race was good too. :-)

Back at 0600 this morning, after a nice gentle run back up to Calais from Le Mans, then Dover to home, albeit slightly extended after a refuelling stop at Alencon when the MGA failed to restart. Didn't take too long to revealed that the points had closed up, so a quick adjustment using the MkI eyeball to set the right gap and a screwdriver to tighten the locking screw got us underway again. Hardly rocket science, but it livened up the usual run up the autoroute. A few hours kip then up to a wonderful hot shower, just finished the unpacking and sorting, followed by logging on here. Fantastic week and great to see people at various stages of the week. Many, many thanks for another outstanding evening at DfH (proving once again Paddy's theory that the DfH beer selection doesn't give you a headache, but just makes you feel like you've been run over twice by a steam roller in the morning).
An excellent and memorable race pretty much throughout particularly in LMP1 and GT1 just made it all the better, along with all of the many other things that go to make up the Le Mans atmosphere and memories.
Final task will be the depressing one of sorting kit out to head back to High Wycombe this evening for work tomorrow.

Well the thing I want to know is did the glorious green goddess that is the Commer make it to the holy lands and back? We await a full report with baited (and slightly garlicy) breath.

Suffice to say to whet your appetite that, indeed, the Commer made the annual pilgrimage there, with plenty of tales to enjoy - I will leave it to the man himself to make the full report of the trials and tribulations of the journey down to La Sarthe, in his own eloquent style. As to the journey back, I have not yet heard...... MG Mark

everything seemed ok when I left Rouen last night....however the occupants of the commer are unlikely to be bothered about the condition of the commer today, owing to the fact that they spent the majority of yesterday evening propping up a bar in the centre of the town...
The stories of the commer being stranded, whilst other members of the team arrived in Le-Mans, and headed to the Stella bar with me, are completely untrue however.....
