Renewed mine yesterday and guess what, it cost a tenner. Another bloody tax. They don't miss a trick.

My oldest got caught by one of these agency sites when he booked the theory part of his driving test, paid about £15 over the odds.Cheap for a lesson in life! But why do government agencies allow other websites to do this? They are surporting a scam.
Watch out too if you happen to be travelling to the States. There are numerous sites that will charge you for applying for a visa waiver (ESTA) on your behalf but it is free if you go via the official site of the US Customs and Border Protection Agency here: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/esta.html?_flowExecutionKey=_c4B13883D-0384-D4AB-1228-2BC1DC3D3C9A_kB78AC067-F363-E140-F70C-51FE803DFEAAPete B.Edited to add URL.
Step 4 is "Make Payment".I pretty sure this is the site we used a few months back and there is a charge.t.
