Had visions of the old girl not working and Andy whipping the gimp to to push it there.

Andy, tell ya what.
Let's go tomorrow and hang the consequences!

See you in the bar

After I see you in the car park
possibly also after I see you on the road down there.

Tomorrow it is then! Settled!

As the Commer wheeses it's way to Le Mans i thought it right to bring this one back to page 1!

We wait with bated breath for the pre/post race report....... ;)

MG Mark

To save MGMark the trouble of typing his annual "bated breath" question as to the Commer's return, I'd like to leave this as the last post on this thread, until indeed the Commer returns to these fair shores next week.

I do hope I'm not tempting fate in doing this, but

TEAM ZARSE STAND BY! WE SAIL WITH THE TIDE!

God bless the Commer and all who sailed in her.
I await the full and detailed report but was a little concerned over the sleeping arrangements and the occupants ;D

First night we were glad simply to be there. Plenty of room on my right for a small Gimp...   :-*

It looks tiny with the curtains closed and without the pop-top roof up, very friendly. Once we'd put up the big tent, I had the double bed all to myself  :)

A poper posting on the adventures in the Commer will appear shortly. However, I've been giving the matter of the Commer's future some very serious thought and I think I've just about come to a final decision  :(

Look forward to the post-race report but, oh dear, looks like we're going to have about 350 days of encouragment to emerge from depression if we are to see the Commer there next year....... ::)

Mark

I know we discussed at length at the DfH party the joys of classic ownership. But in the sober cold light of day, regretably I must tell you there won't be a Commer at Le Mans next year.  :( At least not with me. We've come to the end of our journey together. It's time to bid farewell old friend and pass the responsibility of Commeric ownership on to new blood.

As I say, I'll post more detailed reasons, and the story of our eventful journey to LM hopefully at the weekend.

Andy- without coming across as a vulture, I would be interested in keeping the Commer 'in the family'
Do you have a price in mind?

What price a health hazzard? Let me see if I can do some research, including the cost to remove the colony of bats who've taken up residence in her, and work summat out.

I know she'd be in great hands with you Dr S. No doubt your wife will approve, a Commer camper on the drive melts the heart of any woman.  ;) Your nippers will go mad for it too, kids love playing in them!

Ah yes the joys of a camper when the offspring are young, endless days of fun for my daughter on campsites, while I spent all weekend tryingto fix what
had broken on my 20 year old VW, what fun ;)

Oh I can just picture the look of pure joy on Dragonwife's face when she glides gracefully down the drive of Sconefinger Towers :)
