Nice pick Leftie, and Mark's correct, it's an Austin Paralanian. They're a beautiful bit of kit, worth thousands in that nick. To be honest though, I've never really fancied a coachbuilt camper, prefer the pop-top thing I guess. Having said that, some of them were a work of joiner's art. They were mainly built on a pick-up chassis and this is what they look like underneath if you strip off the ali bodywork. Wouldn't want to be in the back though, pouring a cuppa or frying chips, if it went and rolled over on the M6!


Jules thanks, yes that's my Commer on page 187, a mate gave me a copy of the mag the other week. The photo wasn't taken at the Classic though, as I have only ever been to that by Subaru! I think it was taken on the sunday after the 24 hours, either from 04 or 05.
