But this is what I've settled on.

Pick her up from Tadworth tonight  :) she's (another) beauty. 1948 Petrol/TVO Ferguson TEA20, her engine sounds so sweet and smells lovely running on a petrol/kerosene mixture.

Wow - and you moaned on how long the Commer took to get to Le Mans!

Neil you're taking the meaning of "replacement" too lierally. In this context it means replacing the Commer in my affections, regretably I've gone off her a bit recently.  Oh the joys of new love  :(
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Nice!  Congrats.

My wife's grandfather had a 1948 Ferguson (painted powder blue).  Almost killed myself with it dragging tree stumps out of the woods.  It was about 50 years old at the time and still dangerous in the hands of an idiot.  ;D

Any photos Chop?

Andy,

That is a very cool bit of kit.  I do believe I may have turned a little green with envy.  I will only have a John Deere sub compact when I go back to NZ.  It's just not in the same league.

Stonking - Now we can have a race round your garden on Goodwood Weekend - Mower vs. Tractor - what could possibly go wrong?

No. I think it would be more amusing to have a tractor v Commer race when we're all pissed. The tractor has no lights, what could go wrong?  >:D

You heartless bastard. You've wheeled the Commer out to see your new plaything. What about her feelings?!

oh no, the wife has just seen me looking at the pictures of a tractor on the internet.

I think she would have been happier if it was porn..................

None that I'm aware of offhand, but I'll ask the wife.

Kev, that's because I don't waste it on Mk3 Astras!   ;)

Invest wisely young Skywalker, in solidly engineered vehicles that people will always have a need for. The Commer cost £320 in 2001 and has tripled in value in that time. The Fergie was £730 and IMO is better than money in the bank, if it's looked after will only go up.
