llama's in the basement mixing up the medicine

I know there's to be a race next month, on a track near some fields where thousands of us won't be trying too hard to get any sleep

I know there is but these days the pre LM experience in here is almost totally dead Sad

In days of yore these threads were abuzz prior to that event, nowadays it's kinda dead

Is it cos I am unable to get my head into those tweetery places of ill repute?

I haven't seen anything to tell me whether Rusty, The Brethren and of course Big Irta will be around

Is there to be another wondrous Brethren Tee Shirt?

Can I have one?

Will there be clowns, please bring on the Scary Clowns

Will there be Doris?  Kiss

Or is Madame Sin out boating across briny wastes?

Or treading  the fruit of the twice trod vine?

You see? In the good old days (cue Leonard Sachs) we'd have known all this months ago

It used to be fields round here... With a race track...   Sad

You make a very good point! A few of us have been trying to rev things up but I agree - the Brethren are very quiet and conspicuous by their absence within these pages.

Worrying.....

We were chatting about this at Spa at the weekend, it seems there is a 3 week (or so) cycle of build up, then goes again. Most of us chat on farsebook these days, which has in it's way killed off a lot of fora

Rusty has to my knowledge been planning a Tshirt, and the Bretheren with Irta will be at BN as usual.

Brethren arriving Tuesday, I'm there the same day.
Robbo's crew Wednesday night, all at usual spot I believe.
Various others arriving Tues/Wed/Thurs
Friday night theme is TOGA, centurions, gladiators and Egyptians!
Think the latter is to allow the appearance of Cleopatra ( guess who? )
Scary clown night has been suggested for Saturday.

Notable absentees this year: Doris, she's bobbing about in a boat, Werner, and Adam.

FB has indeed lead to the demise, or quietening down of many a forum.
Even CA was on a lot smaller scale when I joined in 2001, it didn't start taking off for the glory years of the mid 00's until it moved onto a modern format.

FB isn't the great Satan that it is sometimes portrayed as, just another tool to use to keep in contact with friends and family.
And a lot more private than a general access forum.
What it is, is really great for is organising things, which is one reason IMHO it has effected forums such as CA so much.

FB is killing forums but forums I prefer as it does keep (Sod it I shall be blunt) the retards away. FB the idiots have a voice and some of the things I read are awful. Give me a forum all day long.

Few more of us with the DFH, Nopanic etc gang this year really looking forward to it

I have put the official Le Mans cover on my phone.

My thong is in the dry cleaners.

I have some quotes on psycho clown masks, I will now go out for quotes on figure hugging togas.

I begin my Le Mans magic weight reducing diet tomorrow (it's always tomorrow  Tongue)

CA forum set to home page.

FB.....  Hmm, too many people that I'm connected to showing off.  I ought to unfriend them, but then how would I piss them off?

That, as 'they' say, is progress.  This place will still remain the core place for all things LM, WEC etc but there are other places that plenty on here stray to.
Facespace is pretty much immediate, and is in a format that is smartphone friendly.

Of course, stuff like Kristoff's excellent pics are best viewed on the PC of your choice, and we all still like to rant and ramble here (or am I rambling?)

Would agree with you there Kev, belong to another forum which has a FB offshoot.
The quality of the forum posts is on a level far above the FB ones.

First draft of The Brethren's 2016 t-shirt as posted on Facebook (re-posted here with Rusty's knowledge & permission)

Rusty suggests replying to this thread or better still send him a PM
