That is a real shame, hope the recovery process improves. Maybe there will be a late season race weekend you can attend.

Perhaps we can plan to have a get together in a pub near your Pete and then we can all wish you a faster recovery in person.

A good idea Rick. Are you volenteering to organise it?

Could do, If we make it before the end of May then Pete will not be bored with hearing how much fun we had.

Not sure exactly where Pete lives, I know it is near the New Forest, Dorset. If Pete could recommend the pub. I am sure we could get a group of people down. I will locate a nearby site for camping so we can do a LM shakedown of gear too.

Should we start another thread?

Peter,

As usual Big H said it best, please do get better soon. What about a trip in March to Sebring 2007, sort of a condolence to yourself for LeMans 2006?

It's a right sod that one Peter, it really is. Have thought about saying bollox to the insurance and flying in for the day?

Talk soon.

  • You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Sorry to hear that you can't make it to LM but good to see that the recovery is in process. Hang in there and get well soon.
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

That's damn bad news Peter, was looking forward to meet up on Spa or La Sarthe. Hope you get better soon, don't rush yourself into things!

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

All the best Peter, remember your presence is required at the Poo bar next year (it'll be your round  ;D).

Excellent idea Rick, but how about we move Fridays planning meeting to Lymington? it's not that far and I dont mind driving, (only if Peter is feeling well enough of course)

Sorry to hear it Peter.Maybe when you're up to it,we could all come round to your place and camp on your lawn for the weekend.Im sure we could recreate the atmosphere and you could play LM DVDs and hire a toilet block...and a shampoo bar...

Anyway good luck on your recovery

Peter, sorry to hear the news - no transport from HA to MB in the black Fiat this year then.
The prognosis sounds good though, no doubt you'll be raring to get up and go come this time next year.

Myself and Andy 3 Cobras will raise a cold one to you in the Stella Bar.

Hi ALL,

many many thanks, being bowled over with every ones kindness.  the whole thing will be just too much, i know that and will be a mug to kid myself of anything else.  i need to be at home near my drugs and support.

Had an urgent hospital appointment yesterday as one of the drugs I'm taking caused a very nasty skin rash.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;D

Had a chat with some of my diving chums yesterday and they really have cheered me up with visibility reports of 35 + meters at Portland Bill.

Ho Hum, slap my bum.

We're off to Sharm in a couple of weeks for a Northern Wrecks liveaboard.  I'll touch the Thistlegorms prop for you Peter.
