Maybe it's an idea to "reserve" the room upstairs for couples and women?

Not to worry, we had the same last year with some people dropping out at the kart-track. Watching other people struggle with overtaking, barriers and black flags (Steve ;D) can be fun too!

I could take the women with me to my home, where it's warm and comfy.

Flying from Manc to Rotterdam.  Friday pm to Sunday pm (no Saturday flights).

Fran,

Just checked prices, VLM £105 return, and P & O'bloody hell £ 196.00 return.

Wow big diffrence, was hoping to drive over and fill up with booze and hagel bits. Might have to change my plans.

Spend money on travel or spend it on booze? - umm big decision.

My brain hurts

2 possible problems with this Pieter:-

1.  You might get lost; and
2.  You might also snore and fart.

Have been up and down to the UK by all means of transport possible. I think the most comfortable way to travel by car is via the Chunnel. Just looked at their site, and they are doing a £59.00 for a return in November. Speedferries will probably have an even better deal. Defenitely the cheaper and most comfy way to travel if you can share seats.

Easyjet Gatwick to Amsterdam out Saturday 10.10am - returning either sun evening or mon morning (if a night stop R&R in the Dam is required  :o) is curently £49.98.

BA is £66.40 but don't forget you get a leather seat, a hot coffeee and a cold breakfast, and a little bag of pretzels and as much free booze as you can drink. Oh and the outside chance of being treated like a passenger rather than another easyjet "veal". Which might, just, be worth the extra £8 each way.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Now there's a challenge for JPC!! ;D

(flight only lasts for 55 minutes though :-\)

If everyone flew, I think BA would need one of these, with the big tanker filled with beer.

You'd pay that for a sarni & a cup of coffee on easyjet anyway ....

I'll have a car but I didn't plan to be sober...
