I don't think Bernie would need bailing out for £400 Million tbh.  According to the Sunday Times Rich list he is worth £2.5 Billion! So can afford the best lawyers to sort it out for him.

Booked ours too, Out on the 31st May back on 16th June, Pompey - Caen and back.

Slightly more expensive than last year but not by much, but then I did pick the standard fare which only requires a 50% deposit, last year, which was a rollover from the year that wasn't, was an economy fare.

Best to get bookings in early if you want a cabin and are travelling on popular dates!

Now just have to wait for the ACO to announce when tickets go on sale, September time I expect, unless they want to get the cash in early!

There is a picture of T17 in this article so you should be able to work it out from that! http://www.dailysportscar.com/2018/06/03/major-grandstand-upgrade-planned-for-le-mans-centennial.html

Thanks Geoff.  This probably sounds daft, but I've sat in T17 on many occasions, including this year but I'm trying to work what letter the top row is.  I have some photos which give me pointers to the numbers....

I've never sat that far up I'm afraid, If I come across any plans I'll let you know.

I don't have an actual plan, but we were in T17 this year so I might be able to help with that question.

We are heading down to Portsmouth tomorrow evening (1st June) for a Brittany Ferry, I will def be allowing some extra time as it's the start of the long bank holiday weekend.

Just buy two, they are cheap enough!
38  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Info please Arnage Campsite on: May 30, 2022, 10:14:53 am
Arriving to this campsite a week Wednesday!

Does anybody know what route we’ll need to take for access & how busy the site is likely to be by Wednesday afternoon?

The campsites open early this year so it may be busy by Wednesday.

Depending on your direction of travel but you'll probably need to go via Arnage and follow the signs, to get to the campsite as the track will be in use of course  Grin

I'm guessing the program is your best bet if you are going.
40  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Who, Where, What When etc 2022 on: April 29, 2022, 10:47:13 am

Out Pompey - Caen Wednesday 1st June overnight
Usual Hotel with a Mulsanne pitch for socialising and chilling
Back Caen - Pompey Friday 17th June overnight.

Is it time to go yet?

Does anyone travel regularly on the ferries between the UK and France?  Do you get strip searched for bacon!

In the year of Foot and Mouth, they couldn't be bothered, but my caravan was searched for illegal immigrants in recent years, and it carries a normal quantity of essentials, beer, wine and bacon.

Secondly, with a quarter of the population of the UK and France having Covid, will the tribunes become a Petri dish.  Should I buy a Hazmat suit now?

Finally - P&O, what a mess

You are probably ok on the way out, but don't forget the Duty Free limits on the way back, just 24 bottles of wine and 42 litres of beer per person, entering the EU the limit is just 16 litres of beer.
Note that if you get caught over the limits then you pay duty on the whole lot not just the excess.

cut 'n' paste from their website - "Open non-stop from Friday, 3rd June 9.00 am to Monday, 13th June noon." I think it applies to all campsites
43  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Info please Arnage Campsite on: February 15, 2022, 02:02:48 pm
Limited from what I have seen in the past, much like Mulsanne. But handy for the track and not a millions miles from Arnage village.

But see http://www.beermountain.com/p/arnage.html it may be a bit out of date but I doubt it's changed much.
44  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Le Mans 24hr 2022 ACO Tickets on: December 07, 2021, 11:56:50 am
Tickets all booked, GA's, T18, Parking Blanc, Mulsanne Camping (not for sleeping, we have a hotel for that ).

All rather painless, just a queue to get in, still, better than it being slow and crashing constantly as in previous years.

Ferry was booked a while back, so we are all ready to go, just need Covid to play ball!
