Ferrari Spider
« on: February 18, 2006, 01:30:36 pm »
I've just had a call from Ferrari Spider from his isolation room!

He had his chemo on Tuesday and his Stem Cell replacement on Wednesday. I have to say he sounded remarkably well and very positive about it all. Apart from feeling very tired, he said he feels quite good. His wife has been in to see him a few times, and hopefully next week he should be allowed other visitors, although the main ward has a flu bug going around it so it's all gowns and masks for anyone going. He's hoping to be out of isolation in about a week and a half.

He's in Southampton General Hospital in Ward C6 if anyone wants to contact or visit him. I am hoping to see him next week, along with Ballast.

I mentioned about Doris visiting as well, he liked the idea but was a little concerned that with the shaved head you might fit in a bit too well though, or maybe that the nurses might think you were an escapee!!  ;D

That doesn't sound like fun at all  :o

Please pass along my best wishes to FS and wish him well for the next few weeks until he's back to an internet connection.

That's good to hear Mark.

If I manage to escape going to Aberdeen every week, I might drop in to see him and collect my t shirts from Robbo at the same time - I'll let you know when. (At least two more full weeks in Aberdeen)

If you are speaking to Peter again please send him my regards, and best wishes for a speedy recuperation.

Mr Spider,

Best wishes, we will raise a glass to your speedy recovery.

Looking forward to meeting you in June.

Nordic,
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

I echo Nordic's sentiments in joining you for a drink at the poo bar (wherever it may be relocated).
If I was you, I wouldn't start from here

The nurses need never know the truth...I'll wear a wig.   ;D

Let me know when you're going as I'm still keen to join you.
