Oh Dear.  I see the world is white again.  Still we knew this lot was coming so no doubt it won't cause any disruption this time!!!!

What a good investment our council taxes are.

you lot sound like Grumpy old men.  Moan, moan, moan.  The local council here is working well, roads and pavements gritted, hospital appointment attended without any hitches, plenty of snow and how pretty the drive into Southampton looked.
You'll be telling us that you pay you Rates next. Grin

Newbury stole all the salt from B&Q, had 300 tons delivered this morning, and have still run out without clearing the roads.  They must have an awful lot of chips

This weather's okay for you layabouts who idle in bed all day like Peter, but my fruit cage has been crushed to the ground. Sad

you must be peaking again Mr Zarse, today was like all other days, 06:30 alarm call, up to see what the weather was doing, decided to stay in bed for a while, porridge and tea, shower, set off towards the hospital for my appointment, mobile call from the same to see if I was inbound and if I would mind switching my appointments about, so Donor lymphocyte Infusion first, thats more foreign immune cells pumped into me, highly specilised treatment, next an extra to do my weekly consultant check-up today rather than tomorrow, also take bloods to check, free light chain counts, chimerism check, Neutrophil count, etc. Finally Pentamidine Infusion to prevent pneumonia.

Yep, your right its a hoot a minute lying in bed all day, sorry about your soft fruits, freezing them isn't good it'll all be soft and mushy when it thaws. Grin
Hi Peter,
All the above tells me you are out and about and not "confined to barracks" which  i take as a good sign.
While i do not pretend to understand any of it.  Count Neutro Phil has a nice ring to it Grin

Peter,

I'm sitting on a slow moving train at Woking and, as usual, you've brightened up my morning.

Lord only knows what half of that list means, but glad to see that you're in good spirits.

Just hope that trains are running tonight & that I can get my car up the slope out of Chandler's Ford station car park.

Best,

Paul

Is it just me or are the news bulletins talking about nothing but the snow? It's getting tedious. It's winter, it snows. Why are we so surprised?Huh??

It's just more of the usual "whipping up a frenzy". If the media shut up about stuff quite often the event would pass by unnoticed and life would carry on as normal. Remember the Ross/Brand phone call? Did anyone hear it live? How many complaints were received? A=Lots more than actually heard it!

I blame the media for a lot of what's wrong these days...

Back to snow. Still fairly thick here, but no new stuff since 4pm yesterday. Wifeys walk to work took her 40 mins instead of the usual 15. Think I need a newer, more stable one - one with a bit more traction would be good  Wink Grin
