Hi,
Karting Nord has great atmosphere (as have all the other places...). The big bonus there is that you can watch the race right from the campsite. Just watch out where to pitch up your tent when the weather-forecast predicts rain. In 2001, when it rained a lot (!!!), the slightly lower parts of Karting Nord were flooded and the water was 10-15 cm high in those areas (Not nice if you're in a tent)

Cheers and have fun

Hi folks,
whatever nonsense they sometimes may talk (don't we too...), the people of Radio Le Mans are doing a great job. I still remember the dark ages when there was no RLM around but just hourly updates in English (or so...) by the public loud-speaker-system.

May RLM be on air forever......

Cheers

It'll probably end up with a straight to DVD/Video release here (didnt "Driven" get the same treatment?).

I wish that Driven had gone straight to DVD, then I wouldn't have wasted £6 on the cinema price and 2 hours of my time !

Dreadful film is an understatement !

Agree with that, the "Driven"-DVD should be used as a frisbee, at best

Some of my mates did it last year, they just went to the airstrip and it was about 70 EURO per person for about 15 minutes flight

At www.imdb.com (International Movie Database) the movie "Michel Vaillant" is still listed as "in production"
1778  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Where do you get yours? on: May 28, 2003, 02:30:41 am
You mean if you order camping tickets from the ACO, they actually allocate you some? Wink

Yes, they always did. I order by email (usually about 10 months ahead), give them my credit card details and my postal address and it worked fine the last years. They even sent my tickets to Vietnam (where I'm living now) by registered mail. Only drawback is that often I didn't get the campsite I was asking for, e.g. this year I asked for Expo or HA and they sent me Beausejour, but that's still better than nothing...
1779  Club Arnage / Help / Re:Le Mans - Paris - Le Mans trains on: May 27, 2003, 03:01:10 pm
The TGV takes about one hour. I once took it on the Thursday prior to the race and just bought the ticket at the railway-station in Paris, had no reservation, but may be I was just lucky. In LM it takes about 15 mins by taxi from the train station to the track.
There are also direct TGVs from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Le Mans.

I think it was 1986, when he did it with Hans Stuck and Al Holbert!!!!

(Got another picture of him from that year, celebrating it together with Hans in the pits, but I don't know how to insert.)

Intersting poll: I order directly from the ACO, but NOT at the previous years race. In the last 3 years I just mailed to ticket@lemans.org and it always worked. Is this meant by "agency"? Where should put my vote?

Hi smokie,

fully agree with you, please keep the "no profiteering" rule for the sell/swap forum and enforce it strictly. For everyone else there are places like ebay....

Monaco? aaah, those funny open wheel cars which hardly make it for more than 1.5 hours?
